They are called De Buffalo's, after Buffalo Bill, who visited the club's grounds in the early 20th century. The club uses blue as its color. But back then it was still part of the gymnastic association, while football didn't start to be played here until much later, in 1900.

The Belgian football club was founded in 1908 in the town of the same name, Anderlecht, in the Brussels region. The original name of the club was Sporting Club Anderlechtois.
