Sometimes only the abbreviated Willem II is used to refer to them. Their nicknames are Tricolores or Superkruiken. The first nickname suggests that they have a trio of club colours, namely red, white and dark blue. These colours are found on the home jersey, where they are in the form of vertical stripes, as well as in the crest. The away jerseys are predominantly dark blue and combined with black. Alternatively, they also play outdoors in a red and white combination. Their sanctuary is the Koning Willem II Stadium, which has a capacity of 14,700 people. This Dutch football club was founded back in 1896, in the city of Tilburg.
More about Willem II TilburgThe current name has only been valid since 1974, but the predecessor of today's Feyenoord Rotterdam was founded in 1908 under the name Wilhelmina. One of the Netherlands' most famous clubs won the European Champions Cup in 1970 and has twice won the prestigious UEFA Cup (1974 and 2002). The 15-time winner of the Dutch top competition plays at the De Kuip stadium, which has a capacity of 51,137 spectators.
