Sporting CP, also known as Sporting Clube de Portugal, is a prominent football team based in Lisbon, Portugal. Founded on July 1, 1906, Sporting has established itself as one of the "Big Three" clubs in Portuguese football, alongside rivals SL Benfica and FC Porto. The team's colors are green and white, and they are known affectionately as the Lions, or "Leões."
