They are called De Buffalo's, after Buffalo Bill, who visited the club's grounds in the early 20th century. The club uses blue as its color. They also play home games in blue jerseys, and blue is also found in the club's emblem, which is dominated by an Indian head. The Ghelamco Arena serves as their sanctuary, offering a capacity of 20 000 spectators. The Belgian club originates from the city of Ghent, where it was founded in 1864. But back then it was still part of the gymnastic association, while football didn't start to be played here until much later, in 1900.
More about KAA GentThe club is nicknamed Groen en Zwart, meaning green and black. The club colours, green and black, are therefore no surprise. They can be found in the crest and on the home jerseys, where the shorts are black and the jersey itself is green with black vertical stripes. Jan Breydel Stadium is their shrine, offering a capacity of 29,062 seats. However, they have to share it with city rival Club Brugge KV. The club was founded back in 1899 in the Belgian city of Bruges in the north-west of the country. This was after Vlaamsche FC de Bruges and Rapid FC merged to form Cercle Sportif Brugeois, as the new club was then called.
