The full official name of this successful French club is Olympique Lyonnais, but the abbreviated name is commonly used. They are nicknamed Les Gones (the children). The club colours are red, blue and white. They play at home at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais stadium, which is called Groupama Stadium for sponsorship reasons. In some matches, one can also see the designations Stade de Lyon or Grand Stade de Lyon. It is a modern stadium opened in 2016 and has a capacity of 59,186 people.
More about Olympique LyonnaisRC Strasbourg Alsace has been playing football since 1906 and has become a successful team on the French scene, but has never been a top team. In fact, it is one of only six teams to have won all three major trophies. And those are winning the premier league and triumphing in the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue. Strasbourg is also one of the six teams to have played over 2,000 games at the highest level in France.
