In an exciting Serie B encounter on December 26, 2022, Frosinone Calcio hosted Ternana in a match that saw the hosts take away all three points with a convincing display. The match was not devoid of tension, as several players found themselves booked, and both teams made numerous strategic substitutions throughout the contest.

The first significant event of the match occurred at the 12th minute when Ternana's Mattia Proietti received a yellow card, setting an early cautionary tone for the visitors. Not long after, at the 22nd minute, Salim Diakite of Ternana also found himself booked with a yellow card, increasing the pressure on the away side.

Frosinone’s Daniel Boloca joined the cadre of cautioned players with a yellow card at the 25th minute. Despite this setback, Frosinone maintained their composure, and their efforts were rewarded at the 38th minute when S. Mulattieri found the back of the net with a well-taken goal, giving the home team the lead going into half-time.

The second half saw Frosinone tighten their grip on the game, with R. Insigne doubling the lead at the 54th minute with another normal goal. Frosinone and Ternana then proceeded to make a series of substitutions; S. Kalaj and G. Caso came on for Frosinone while B. Martella and S. Diakité were introduced for Ternana all within the 67th and 68th minutes, respectively.

The home side continued to dominate, and at the 72nd minute, L. Garritano added another goal to Frosinone's tally, making it 3-0. Ternana responded with two more substitutions in the 73rd minute, bringing on C. Falletti and M. Coulibaly in a bid to salvage the game. However, Frosinone remained in control and started to wind down the clock with substitutions of their own, bringing on K. Lulić at the 77th minute and ending their substitutions with R. Insigne coming off at the 87th minute. Ternana made their final substitution at the 83rd minute, with M. Proietti being replaced, but it was too little too late.

Despite a spirited effort from Ternana and a match peppered with tactical changes, Frosinone Calcio emerged victorious with a strong 3-0 win, much to the delight of their home supporters who witnessed a splendid post-Christmas performance.
