Sometimes only the abbreviated Willem II is used to refer to them. Their nicknames are Tricolores or Superkruiken. The first nickname suggests that they have a trio of club colours, namely red, white and dark blue. These colours are found on the home jersey, where they are in the form of vertical stripes, as well as in the crest. The away jerseys are predominantly dark blue and combined with black.
