The German football club uses red and dark blue as its club colours. These colours appear both in the club crest and on the jerseys. The home jerseys are predominantly red, with white vertical stripes on the jersey. The away jerseys are then all dark blue. At home they are at the Voith-Arena stadium, which will offer a capacity of 15,000 seats. The club was founded back in 1846 in the town of the same name, Heidenheim.
The current home of the German side is the 2. Bundesliga, the second highest level of professional football in Germany. During the 2018/19 season, the club finished a respectable 3rd place in the second league table. In recent years, the club has been trying to fight its way up and in the aforementioned season, it narrowly missed promotion to the top flight. Within the 2. Bundesliga since the 2014/15 season. Achievements include triumphing 6 times in the WFV-Pokal Cup competition, which they last did in the 2013/14 season.
