The French football club is nicknamed Les Lions. Their club colours are blue and yellow. The home jerseys are predominantly dark blue with yellow details. Outdoors, they play in a pink and white combination. At home they are at the Parc des Sports stadium, which has a capacity of 17,518 spectators. After moving to this new stadium in 2010, the club also changed its name from the original AC Arles, after the city of its foundation, to its current name with the nickname Avignon, in keeping with the location of the new stadium. The club was founded in 1912.
The manager of the team was former football player Franck Dumas, while the captain was defender Sébastien Cantini, who joined the club in 2012. Despite limited resources, the club celebrated some successes. For example, it won the French Amateur Championship in 2007, representing the 4th division of French football. The club has changed its emblem several times, both after its merger with Avignon, but also after its promotion to Ligue 1 in 2010, which is the club's biggest achievement. In 2016, the club was dissolved.
