The Fearless, as the club's name is in Greek, were founded in 1923 and play their home games at the Peristeri Stadium in Athens (capacity 10,050). The team, which has been led by coaches such as Vladimir Petrovic and Ricardo Sá Pinto, has won the Greek second league three times (1972, 1980 and 2009) and has reached the final of the National Cup twice, in 2011 and 2012. Atromitos FC has been especially successful in the last generation, with a five-pointed blue star on a white background in its emblem.
Before 2012, it was a white star on a dark blue background. The club's jerseys have also undergone a big evolution, while in the 2006/2007 season the home kit was almost all blue, in the 2018/2019 season Atromitos featured blue and white stripes on the jersey with blue sleeves. The most famous players? Frenchman Pascal Vahirua, Polish international Marek Saganowski and Belarusian goalkeeper Andrei Gorbunov, for example. Kostas Katsouranis and Georgios Anatolakis also spent a season here.
