The club nicknames were De Mannekes, De Ratten and their club colours were then purple and white. These colours were also seen in the club crest and on home or away jerseys. At home, purple jerseys with white details were predominant, and away, white jerseys with purple details were predominant. The Olympisch Stadion, with a total capacity of 12 771 seats, was a shrine to this Belgian football team. The club originated in the important port city of Antwerp, where it was founded in 1920 after the merger of a pair of local teams, KFC Germinal Ekeren and K. Beerschot VAC.
We can only speak of this unit in the past tense, as it went bankrupt in 2013. The demise was completed by the merger with K.FC.O.Wilrijk into K.FC.O. Beerschot-Wilrijk. Among the team's past achievements we can include winning the Belgian Cup twice, in the 1996/97 and 2004/05 seasons. 2 times it also reached the final of this cup, when it was defeated by its opponent. 2 times it was also in the final of the Belgian Super Cup, in 1997 and 2005.
