Belgian national football team is one of those European national teams that have managed to win a medal at the most important tournaments, although they are still waiting for the gold. The European Championships in the past brought them bronze at their home tournament in 1972 as well as silver in Italy in 1980, and the World Championships went best for them in Russia 2018, where they finished third.
Several world-famous names have also played for Team Belgium throughout history. From earlier times we can mention names like Paul Van Himst or Jan Ceulemans, it is from modern times that we can mention stars like Eden Hazard or Romelu Lukaku.
