They are called The Shakers and their club colours are navy blue and white. These colours are also part of the club crest and of course the jersey. They can be found on both home and away jerseys. The team plays its home games at Gigg Lane Stadium, which has a capacity of 12,500 seats. The English club was founded in 1885 in the town of Bury in the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester.
The 2018/19 season ended with the club being promoted from League Two to League One, the third highest competition in the English league system. Unfortunately, due to financial problems, the playing squad was broken up and subsequently the team was also expelled from League One on 27 August 2019. A joyous event was thus quickly replaced by the darkest one. Bury FC was expelled from the structures of professional English football after 125 years. In the past, the cell won the English Cup twice, in the seasons 1899/00 and 1902/03. It reached the semi-finals of the League Cup in the 1962/63 season.
