CD Mirandés, also known as Club Deportivo Mirandés, is a Spanish football team based in Miranda de Ebro, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Founded on May 3, 1927, the club traditionally plays in red-and-black striped shirts with black shorts and socks. They host their home matches at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva, which has a capacity of around 6,000 spectators.
Mirandés has spent much of its history in the lower tiers of the Spanish football league system but has experienced spells in the Segunda División, Spain's second tier. While not being a major force in Spanish football, CD Mirandés has earned recognition for its fighting spirit and ability to challenge higher-ranked teams, particularly during its Copa del Rey runs, where they have managed to reach the semi-finals, showcasing their capability to compete against top-flight opposition.
The club has a dedicated local fanbase and is known for its close-knit community feel. It operates with a philosophy of promoting young talent and often relies on players from its youth academy, complemented by experienced professionals. CD Mirandés continues to strive for stability in the Segunda División, aiming to build upon its history and perhaps one day make the leap to La Liga, Spanish football's premier competition.
