Dalian Aerbin FC was a professional football club based in Dalian, Liaoning, China. The club was founded on September 20, 2009, by Chinese businessman Zhao Mingyang, with the aim of bringing top-tier football back to the city known for its passionate fans. They started in the third tier of Chinese football, China League Two, and achieved quick success, achieving consecutive promotions and reaching the Chinese Super League (CSL) in 2012.
In their debut season in the CSL, Dalian Aerbin performed impressively and secured a mid-table finish. They were known for making high-profile signings, including former Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita and ex-Liverpool forward Milan Baroš, as they sought to cement their position in the top division and compete for domestic glory.
Despite their ambitious efforts, financial difficulties eventually led to struggles on the pitch. In 2015, the club went through a rebranding and was renamed to Dalian Yifang FC. This change marked the end of the Dalian Aerbin identity but not the spirit, as the newly named club continued the pursuit of football success in the region.
