Scottish football team Dunfermline Athletic FC has been in existence since 1885. And in its long history it has experienced many ups and downs. The 1960s can be considered the best period. It was then that they managed to reach the quarter-finals and later the semi-finals of the Cup Winners' Cup and also the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
And it was in the second half of the 1960s that a certain Alex Ferguson, who was then the league's top scorer, donned the Dunfermline jersey. And over the course of his career, he built a reputation as one of football's greatest legends. Especially as the coach of Manchester United, with whom he achieved success like no other.
He also won several trophies throughout Dunfermline Athletic FC's history. The greatest achievements are the two Scottish Cup wins just from the sixties. Here they also managed to win three other finals. They have also reached the Scottish League Cup final three times. The last time they became champions of the second highest league was in the 2010/2011 season.
