FK Vardar football team plays the most popular ball sport in the northern Macedonian capital Skopje, where the Toše Proeski Arena, with a capacity of over 36,000 spectators, serves as their home for home matches. The club was founded in 1947.
Its successes have made it the most popular Macedonian team. They have ten premier league titles to their credit, alongside five major cup trophies and several other minor prizes. They also play the preliminary rounds of the Europa League, but that has been without much success so far.
