The Italian football club, whose nicknames are Gallo (roosters) or Giallorossi (yellow and red), has yellow and red as its club colours. The home jerseys are also in this vein, with the jersey being yellow and the shorts red. The away team then play in a combination of green and red. The home stadium is the Antonio Bianco with a capacity of 5 000 seats. The club's history dates back to 1946, but has faced various existential problems over the years. It was last re-established in 2010. The club originates from the city of Gallipoli in southern Italy.
It was only in the 2009/10 season that this football club made its first breakthrough into the second highest domestic competition, known as Serie B. However, it lasted only a year and was relegated, followed by bankruptcy and the aforementioned re-establishment. Since then they have been playing in the regional league Eccellenza Apulia. The club hasn't had any significant success on home soil and, for example, they have never played in Italy's top competition.
