For short, this French football club is simply called GF38, and its club colours are blue and white. These colours are contained in both the club crest and the jersey. Blue is the predominant colour on the home jersey, while when the club plays away there is a predominance of white. Alternatively, the colours yellow are also used. Their sanctuary is called the Stade des Alpes and has a capacity of 20,068 seats. The club was founded in Grenoble, at the foot of the Alps, back in 1892.
In the 1960/61 and 1962/63 seasons, the club played in the top French league, Ligue 1. They also returned to the top domestic league in the 2008/09 season, in which they subsequently finished 13th in the league table. However, they lost 11 matches the following season, and eventually finished due to serious financial problems. By 2011, the club was already in liquidation, which sent them down to League 5. It is currently moving up and playing in the second highest competition, Ligue 2, which it reached in 2018.
