Hyde United FC have been playing football since 1919, with Ewen Fields hosting over 4,000 spectators for home games. The club colours for home games are red and black, away games are played in a combination of yellow and black. The team was even at one time sponsored by the famous big club Manchester City, thanks to which the club did not suffer financial ruin.
Sportingly, they are in the lower competitions of the reginaal calibre, where they have several titles, albeit mostly decades old. At a national level, their biggest achievement is reaching the first round of the FA Cup from the 1955/1956, 1983/1984, 1994/1995 and 2017/2018 seasons.
