The nickname of the club is De Kempeneers, the colour combination of the jerseys is yellow and blue. For home games the jersey is yellow, which is complemented by blue shorts, for away games it is the other way around. Alternatively, they also use white jerseys with blue details. At home they are at Het Kuipje Westerlo stadium, which has a capacity of 8,035 spectators. The club was founded back in 1933 and, as its name suggests, operates in the Belgian municipality of Westerlo in the province of Antwerp.
Since the 1997/98 season, the KVC Westerlo has played mainly in the Belgian professional league. Their highest finish was 6th place in the 1999/00, 2003/04 and 2008/09 seasons. They also have one Belgian Football Cup win from the 2000/01 season and finished just outside the top in the 2010/11 season.
