It was known by its full name as RWDM Brussels Football Club, being a former Belgian football club nicknamed Les Coalisés. The club colours were black and red and this combination was also found on the home jerseys in the form of black and red vertical stripes. They then played outdoors in a blue jersey with white shorts. Their sanctuary was the Stade Edmond Machtens, which currently has a capacity of 11 266 seats. The club was founded in 1932 in Brussels as the former FC Strombeek, a club from the Brussels suburb of Strombeek-Bever.
Their highest finish was in the 2005/06 season, in 10th position in the first division. The club's demise came in 2014, when they last played in the Belgian Second Division, the second highest competition in Belgian football. It was the 2013/14 season, finishing 8th in the league table. However, they withdrew from the league at the end of the season due to financial problems, which were followed by the club's liquidation.
