This Polish football club is called WKS for short, and their nickname is Wojskowi (military). The nickname refers to the club's dark green colour, which is also found on the home jerseys. Outdoors, they play mostly in white. The team is at home in the Stadion Miejski, which has a capacity of 44,416 seats. The club was founded in Wrocław in 1947, where the club also operates.
Ekstraklasa is the highest competition of professional football in Poland. This team managed to win it twice, in the 1976/77 season and in the 2011/12 season. Also, the club won the Polish Cup twice in the seasons 1975/76 and 1986/87 and also the Polish Super Cup, which was in 1987 and 2012. It also played in Europe, in the Europa League in the 2013/14 season. At the beginning of 2014, Stanislav Levý also quit the club after a 2-3 league defeat to Ruch Chorzów.
