Stranraer FC was founded in 1870, making it the third oldest football team in Scotland and one of the twenty oldest in the world. Stair Park is used for their home games, with a capacity of just over 4,000 spectators. This means that they are a smaller team, playing in lower competitions.
Their biggest historical achievements are the 1993/1994 and 1997/1998 third division titles. At the same level, Stranraer FC have two second places from the 2004/2005 and 2014/2015 seasons. In addition to this, they also won the 2003/2004 third league season and, for example, enjoyed winning the Scottish Challenge Cup in 1996. In addition to this, they have several other minor achievements.
