Tromsø IL (Tromsø Idrettslag) is a Norwegian professional football club based in the city of Tromsø. Founded on September 15, 1920, the team is historically one of the most prominent clubs from Northern Norway. Tromsø IL's colors are red and white, and they are commonly known as "The Pride of the North" (Gutan in the local dialect).
