The full name of the French football club is Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne, or ESTAC for short. The club's colours are blue and white, with the team wearing predominantly blue for home matches and playing away in predominantly white jerseys. At home they play at the Stade de l'Aube, which offers a capacity of 21,684 seats. The club was founded in 1986, in the French town of Troyes, located on the Seine River, in the Aube département and in the Grand Est region.
The 2012/13 season saw the club relegated from the top flight of Ligue 1. They won promotion back relatively early in the 2014/15 season, thanks to a 1st place finish in the second league table. However, the team is now currently back in the second highest French domestic competition known as Ligue 2, where they usually rank quite high. In the 2018/19 season, they finished in 3rd place. As far as European exposure is concerned, the club has won the Intertoto Cup since 2001.
