Tunisia

They play in their national colours, which are red and white. They are called the Eagles of Carthage, Carthage being the centre of the present capital of Tunisia, Tunis, during the ancient Carthaginian Empire. Tunisian national team is in charge of the Tunisian Football Federation and represents their country in international football events such as the World Cup and also includes the African Cup of Nations. The top scorer of the Turkish national team is Issam Jemâa with 36 goals scored and the most starts is Sadouk Sassi who has played 116 straight matches.

The Tunisians have played in the World Cup a total of 5 times, the first time they qualified here in 1978 and did not advance from the group. Their journey also ended in the group stage in all their subsequent appearances in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2018. The Africa Cup of Nations, then, is a more successful event for Tunisia. The first time they played here was in 1962 and the best finish the Tunisian football team achieved was in 2004, when the Tunisians could celebrate the overall victory.
