The Belgian football team Club Brugge KV (Club Brugge Koninklijke Voetbalvereniging) was founded in Bruges in 1891, then still as Brugsche Football Club. One of Belgium's most historically successful clubs, it currently plays its home games at the Jan Breydel Stadium with a capacity of over 29,000 spectators.
More about Club Brugge KVThey are called De Buffalo's, after Buffalo Bill, who visited the club's grounds in the early 20th century. The club uses blue as its color. They also play home games in blue jerseys, and blue is also found in the club's emblem, which is dominated by an Indian head. The Ghelamco Arena serves as their sanctuary, offering a capacity of 20 000 spectators. The Belgian club originates from the city of Ghent, where it was founded in 1864. But back then it was still part of the gymnastic association, while football didn't start to be played here until much later, in 1900.
