The German club 1. FC Kaiserslautern has been in existence since 1900 and, in addition to football, is involved in other sports such as basketball, boxing, handball, field hockey, triathlon and athletics. The German team is simply abbreviated as KSC and since the 1993/94 season has also been nicknamed Eurofighter.
