The nicknames of this club were The Dons, The Wombles and The Crazy Gang. The club colours are a combination of blue and yellow, which are part of the crest and home jerseys. The club was founded in 1889 in the south-west London borough of Merton. For a long time it played in the lower competitions, but after professionalisation it rose to the highest rungs of English football in 1985 and also managed to win the English Cup, in 1888. They beat then big club Liverpool 1-0.
More about AFC WimbledonThe club is called Red Dragons and it is not hard to guess the club colours, which include red of course, but also white. The home jerseys honour these colours as well, with the away game being played in a combination of white and black. Home games are played at the Racecourse Ground, which seats 10,771 spectators. The Welsh side was founded in 1864, then under the name Wrexham Town FC. The team is therefore from the town of Wrexham in the ceremonial county of Clwyd. In 1880 it was renamed Wrexham FC and in 2006 it was re-established as Wrexham AFC after its demise.
