In a thrilling Serie A encounter on November 13, 2022, Atalanta Bergamo hosted Inter Milan in what turned out to be a match filled with goals, drama, and tactical maneuvers.

Atalanta started the game with high hopes and managed to take the lead in the 25th minute through A. Lookman, who converted a penalty, sending the home fans into raptures. However, their joy was short-lived as Inter Milan's prowess in attack quickly came to the fore. E. Džeko turned out to be the man of the moment for the visitors, notching the equalizer in the 36th minute with a well-taken goal that demonstrated his clinical finishing abilities.

As the second half commenced, Atalanta made their first substitution by bringing on G. Scalvini at the 46th-minute mark. The match intensified, but it was once again Džeko who found the back of the net for Inter in the 56th minute, giving them a one-goal advantage. Merely five minutes later, Atalanta faced further misfortune when J. Palomino scored an own goal, which padded Inter's lead even further.

Despite the setback, Atalanta showed resilience and made two quick substitutions in the 68th and 69th minutes, introducing M. Demiral and D. Zapata into the fray in hopes of mounting a comeback. Inter Milan responded with their own set of changes, replacing players with D. Dumfries and A. Bastoni in the 72nd minute.

The match saw its fair share of cautions, with Stefan de Vrij of Inter receiving a yellow card in the 74th minute. Atalanta's perseverance paid dividends when J. Palomino redeemed himself by scoring a normal goal in the 77th minute, making up for his earlier blunder and narrowing the deficit.

Inter Milan, determined to secure their lead, made further substitutions in the 80th minute, bringing on H. Mkhitaryan and F. Dimarco. As the final minutes approached, Atalanta conducted their fourth substitution with M. Pašalić entering the game in the 83rd minute. Inter, not to be outdone, introduced Lautaro Martínez onto the pitch in the 84th minute as their fifth substitution.

Discipline became an issue for Inter towards the end of the match, with Milan Škriniar and André Onana both receiving yellow cards in the 85th and 87th minutes, respectively, amid mounting tension.

When the final whistle blew, Atalanta Bergamo was left to reflect on a match that showed promise but ultimately resulted in a 3-2 defeat to a strong Inter Milan side. Inter's experience and composure under pressure were crucial in securing a victory away from home, maintaining their position as one of the top contenders in the league.
