The name at the time was Eagle Cricket Club, hence the original focus. Football began to be played here seven years later. The club colours are red and white and these are found both in the club crest and on the home jerseys, where the sleeves and shorts are red and there are subtle vertical red and white stripes on the chest and back. They are at home at the Broadhall Way stadium, which has a capacity for 7,800 people. The club was founded in the town of Stevenage in the metropolitan county of Hertfordshire. This was in 1976, under the name Stevenage Borough FC, and it was only in 2010 that the club acquired its current name.
