The English Football League One is the third highest football competition in England. Throughout its history, the competition has had various names; it was introduced as League One in 2004, and before that the competition was called Division Two (1992-2004), Division Three (1958-1992), Division Three North/South (1921-1958) and Division Three (1920-1921).
There are 24 teams in EFL League One. Although it is a third division, it is a quality competition. There are also teams with relatively recent experience of the elite Premier League. Recent teams include Blackpool, Bolton, Coventry City, Ipswich Town, Portsmouth and Sunderland.
