Barrow AFC, also known as Barrow Association Football Club, is a professional football team based in the town of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. They currently compete in the National League, which is the fifth tier of the English football league system.
More about Barrow AFCThe nicknames of this club were The Dons, The Wombles and The Crazy Gang. The club colours are a combination of blue and yellow, which are part of the crest and home jerseys. The club was founded in 1889 in the south-west London borough of Merton. For a long time it played in the lower competitions, but after professionalisation it rose to the highest rungs of English football in 1985 and also managed to win the English Cup, in 1888. They beat then big club Liverpool 1-0.
