Sutton United FC from southwest London has been playing football since 1898. They use the Gander Green Lane stadium for home games, which has a capacity of over 5,000 spectators. For home games they play in yellow jerseys, for away games they wear pure white.

The club colours are a combination of blue and yellow, which are part of the crest and home jerseys. The club was founded in 1889 in the south-west London borough of Merton. For a long time it played in the lower competitions, but after professionalisation it rose to the highest rungs of English football in 1985 and also managed to win the English Cup, in 1888. They beat then big club Liverpool 1-0.
